In my own words, pop culture is the everyday stuff most people like songs, movies, famous artists, events, and places. It shows what our society is all about and influences what will be popular in the future. Pop culture is all around us, from morning to night.        I read this article "Sex Sells Sex, Not Women’s Sports".This article talks about how the media sometimes focuses on the looks of women athletes instead of their skills. It uses examples like a soccer player's ranking based on looks and a skier's sexualized magazine cover. The article explains that this doesn't help women's sports and, based on surveys, shows that fans prefer images highlighting athletes' skills. It suggests that promoting women's sports through their abilities, like in college basketball and the Women's world cup, is a better way to gain respect for female athletes.

         I watched this video "Why Pop Culture by Alexandre O. Philippe at TEDxMileHigh". This video was published on July 15th 2023, This video has almost 40million views. This video was quite interesting. This video is about how popular culture, like movies, music, and famous figures, it shows our shared values as a community. It talks about why we celebrate these things and how they impact what we all believe in together.
