This semester, I learned a bunch new things about pop culture. It's not just about what's cool now, it's like mixing different cultures together, such as Asian, Hispanic and American. Just like in a salad bowl. In the U.S., lots of people from different countries bring their own cultures, and it all blends with all diffenrt types of culture.Pop culture isn't only about what's popular right now it also includes things from the past coming back, like those wide pants from the 60s, 70s, 80s. We did a lot fun stuff, like making movie posters, CIP.       This semester was a cool adventure in pop culture, and now I know more about how different cultures mix together to make the world interesting. I learned a lot of new vocabs about pop culture like culture shock and pop stars. This class helped me quickly get what the culture here is like, I'm glad to be part of her class. At the end I want to say Thank you to her!

Blog#18 summary of text

The article " The Labor Market Integration of Refugee Migrants in High-Income Countries" Courtney Brell, Christian Dustmann, and Ian Preston. This article talks about how people who are forced to move to a new country, called refugees, try to fit into their new society. It compares them to people who move for better opportunities, known as economic migrants. The article says refugees face extra challenges like not having many skills that work in the new place and not being sure about their future there.      I chose this article because it explains why refugees might find it hard to get jobs and settle down in a new country. It also talks about how different countries treat refugees, and it suggests that the government and the people in a new place play a big role in helping refugees become a part of the community. https://www.jstor.org/stable/26873531?seq=1
